Secondary School

As a proud IB World School, we offer two globally respected educational programmes for students aged 12 to 18: the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).

Instead of just memorising facts, MYP students connect ideas across different subjects to solve real-world problems. As they grow older and enter the DP, they take on challenging, university-level coursework that prepares them for success at the world's best universities.

At PSI, our Secondary school programme is built around two IB frameworks — offering depth, flexibility, and global recognition.

IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)

grades 6-10

The Middle Years Programme helps students connect their classroom studies directly to the real world.

Rather than simply memorising facts, each unit explores big questions that are relevant to our local community while also tackling global challenges. This approach ensures students are fully prepared for the advanced academic challenges they will face in high school.

Our goal in the MYP is to encourage students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers. We prepare them for the future by focusing on deep curiosity and helping them understand the world beyond their own borders.

IB Diploma Programme (DP)

grades 11-12

The Diploma Programme is a challenging, two-year experience designed to prepare students for success at university and in their adult lives.

Because every student has different ambitions, learners can choose to pursue the Full IB Diploma or select specific IB Course Certificates that best match their personal goals.

The DP develops the exact skills that top universities value most: deep research, critical thinking, and strong communication. This well-rounded approach is known for opening doors to the world's most prestigious universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, and Yale.

Student Life and Support

Languages at PSI

All of our Secondary School classes are taught in English. For students who are still building their English fluency, our dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) teachers provide targeted, personal support so every child can confidently participate in class discussions and advanced coursework.

Throughout Secondary School, students can choose to develop their skills in French, Spanish, or Ukrainian. These classes are offered at different levels to challenge both beginners and advanced speakers appropriately.

I've been at PSI for eleven years, since 2013, and in the 2024-2025 school year, I graduated from what I affectionately call 'my home.'

One of the few constants in my life has been my school - PSI. This is because of how amazing our team is, how resilient the teachers are, overcoming challenges while still prioritizing students and devising optimal solutions so that we, the students, get the most out of our education and social experiences at school.

The student-teacher dynamic is incredible. Teachers actively engage with us, making us feel like they are integral parts of our classes! It's reassuring to have teachers whom you trust and who you can always count on for help without fear.
