KINDERGARTEN
At PSI, Kindergarten is where wonder, play, and learning come together.
Designed for children aged 3 to 5, our programme lays a strong foundation for future learning by nurturing the whole child — emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. We provide a caring and international environment where each child is supported to grow in confidence and curiosity.

Welcome
The early years are such a special and important time. In our Kindergarten, we focus on creating a happy, secure space where children feel safe to be themselves, try new things, and build strong foundations for learning.
Our team works closely with families to make sure each child feels known, supported, and excited to come to school every day. It’s a place full of smiles, discovery, and play — and we can’t wait to welcome your child.

Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten follows the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) — a globally recognised curriculum framework designed for children aged 3 to 12.
The PYP places play, inquiry, and student voice at the heart of learning. In Kindergarten, this means children are encouraged to ask questions, explore their interests, and build an understanding of the world around them through meaningful experiences.
Learning in the PYP is not just about what we know, but how we think, care, and connect with others. It helps children develop skills, attitudes, and values that will stay with them for life.

Additional Information
Language & Communication
English is the main language of instruction in Kindergarten.
Our teachers support children in developing strong oral communication skills, whether they are native or new English speakers. Ukrainian is also present in the classroom and valued as part of our identity.
Partnership with Families
We know that starting kindergarten is a big step — for both children and parents!
That’s why we work closely with families to make sure every child feels secure and supported. We share regular updates, invite parents into the classroom, and celebrate milestones together. You’ll always know what your child is learning and how they’re growing.
Learning Outdoors with Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL)
We are proud to be an OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) school. OPAL is a UK-developed programme that recognises the value of outdoor play as a powerful tool for learning, development, and wellbeing.
Through OPAL, our campus offers:
  • A variety of safe, engaging outdoor play zones
  • Natural materials and loose parts that spark creativity
  • Opportunities to take risks, solve problems, and work together
  • Time and space for independent, self-directed play
